Frequently asked questions

Is there free parking in downtown Boise?
Not during the day in the core. Downtown street meters are enforced Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., with the first 20 minutes free per session. Meters are free outside those hours, on Sundays and on city-listed holidays. ParkBOI garages give the first hour free between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. The metered zones stop at about 13th St, so streets farther west - including the W Main St corridor - are not metered; check posted signs.
How much does monthly parking cost in downtown Boise?
A standard monthly pass in the six ParkBOI public garages runs $135 - $195 per space per month depending on the garage, plus a $20 setup fee. Some garages have waitlists.
How much does it cost to park downtown for a work day?
In ParkBOI garages the first hour is free (5 a.m. - 8 p.m.), then $3 per hour, up to a weekday maximum of $18 or $21 depending on the garage, and $9 on weekends. Street meters top out at 2 hours in Zones 1 and 2, so they do not work for a full day.
What does it cost a 10-person team to park downtown?
At $135 - $195 per monthly pass, 10 spaces cost $1,350 - $1,950 a month, or about $16,200 - $23,400 a year, before setup fees.
How many parking spaces come with the 2210 W Main St listing?
13 private spaces in the building's own lot, with access from W Main St and the alley. The building is west of the downtown meter zones, so street parking nearby is not metered.
